Faith Tabernacle Church Legacy
WHO WE ARE / WHAT WE DO
Faith Tabernacle Church (The Family Vision Center) is here to serve. Our mission is to connect people to God through bible-based teaching, with unconditional love and by serving our community.
Faith Tabernacle was established under the direction of God and founded by the late Rev. Dr. Margaret L. Wortham in 1958.
Through her passion for helping the community of Chester and love of people, Rev. Dr. Wortham established the Mission of Care which fed, clothed and ministered to thousands of people.
In 2005, Overseer Catherine Jacobs, daughter of Rev. Dr. Wortham, was installed as Pastor of Faith Tabernacle. Overseer Jacobs continued to serve the body of Christ and community through powerful prayer, teaching the word of God and being an ambassador of comfort to many.
The legacy of ministry continued when Nathan Jacobs, son of Overseer Catherine Jacobs, was installed as Senior Pastor of Faith Tabernacle Church December 2019.
Faith Tabernacle Church is here to serve and exhibit the love of God through word and deed. The Family Vision Center is an extension of Faith Tabernacle Church and exists to continue our outreach and community programs for our beloved City of Chester.
We invite you to join us Sundays at 11am and Wednesdays at 7pm.
